Reports

Some time back, We attended a TUCARE dinner in Sonora and the keynote speaker was Michael Shaw, Freedom 21, from Santa Cruise. Very informative.

Shaw provided warnings about "UN Agenda 21" which calls for internal restructuring of our country.  Agenda 21 has been adopted by many governmental bodies and advanced without publicity or knowledge by the public. The talk was very well received by the attendees.

Shaw's group is now called "Freedom Advocates" and it's website is freedomadvocates.org.

We now have their booklet "Understanding Sustainable Development - Agenda 21" available on our literature tables and we provide copies to all local government officials. There are also DVD presentations we hope to obtain soon.

The work provides a fundamental explanation of how property rights are treated in much of our land use planning process and why. It exposes UN involvement and suggests ways to bring back constitutional protections and recognition of property rights.

If interested, please review the above work and advise.

Also, if you want to help with the cost, please consider donating what you can on our website - or mail.

Thanks.  - Al

This report, by Cory Burnell, discusses the current and likely future economic environments for Calaveras County, California and the country as a whole.  It takes a look at current federal fiscal policies and how they'll likely impact the economy in coming years.  Lastly, the report recommends Calaveras adopt policies to foster business and economic independence for our community, because hindrance rather than help is likely to come from Sacramento and Washington in the long run.

15-page report discusses declining future enrollment and the detrimental impacts of existing Certificates of Participation and their replacement with bonds.
